WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE TEACHER AND WHY?
Dr. John Byrne taught AP English at my experimental public high school in Brooklyn. He had extremely high expectations and gave barely a half smile once you achieved them, and then promptly raised the bar. I almost crumbled under the fear, but I ended up getting some of my best grades in that class. In retrospect, it was my first lesson in not backing away from a challenge and seeing the possibilities in any situation. Plus, we read a lot of great books.

BIO:
A native New Yorker, Venta moved to the Cleveland area in 2014; the Cleveland Museum of Art is her favorite thing about the city. She earned her B.S. in Writing at Eugene Lang College of The New School and an M.S. from Case Western Reserve University in Organizational Development. She is glad to return to behind the scenes after a very long career in Development at Laurel School, Tuxedo Park School, and Trinity-Pawling School as well as some local organizations.
Venta joined EA in 2022.
