SUSIE DELAPORTE

PLACEMENT MANAGER, SCHOOL SERVICES COORDINATOR

SUSIE DELAPORTE

NAME THREE THINGS YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT

Coffee, lots of it! Also, my dogs and anything sweet.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE TEACHER AND WHY?

My favorite teacher was Mr. DeCamp who taught Science while I was at The Peck School. What I think made him extraordinary was that I was not a strong science student, but always loved going to class. He had the greatest energy and a way to engage all of us. It didn’t hurt that he always had stories about his amazing dives to dozens of vessels lying on the floor of the Atlantic. He was larger than life and we all loved him.

MY HAPPY PLACE:

At home with a good book, great glass of wine and the dogs and if I am lucky, an occasional visit from my children!

BIO:

Susie attended The Peck School in Morristown, NJ and The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, CT. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in History. Susie began her career in independent education in 2006 at The Willow School in Gladstone, New Jersey, where she worked in Development, Admissions, Secondary School Placement, and Alumni Affairs.

In 2014, Susie joined The Angeletti Group, as Director of Client Partnerships & Executive Search. Her responsibilities there focused on the recruitment and onboarding of senior-level professionals. In her work as a consultant, Susie’s key client engagements included feasibility studies, campaign management, and on-site direction and leadership within many Independent School and non-profits’ development offices. As Director of the Search Team, Susie provided her client schools with valuable insight, making her the ideal partner for sourcing qualified leadership candidates.

Susie joined EA in 2018.

"I really appreciated working with EA throughout our leadership search. The personal, responsive, transparent and collegial approach the EA team brought to our search made them a pleasure to work with and resulted in our finding the right match."
