Services for candidates

Opportunities In Independent Schools

Our client schools ask us to recommend candidates for a variety of positions and subjects in grades pre-kindergarten through 12. Many faculty openings require experience, and we look for candidates with strong credentials who are dedicated to the independent school.

We also recruit for a number of openings that are good opportunities for first year teachers. In most cases, independent schools are not restricted by regulations requiring that only education majors and applicants with certification can be employed. These schools often hire liberal arts majors as interns, and sometimes as beginning teachers. Volunteer teaching, tutoring, camp counseling, and an interest in working in extra-curricular areas (sports, drama, publications, etc.) are all relevant experience and qualifications for an entry level position.

Openings also occur for administrative positions in development, public relations, alumni affairs, business offices, school admissions and college guidance. Our client schools also seek our help in searches for division heads, department chairs, and assistant heads of school.

There are no fees charged to the candidate; all fees are paid by the hiring school. Learn more about the process.
